About the 108
108 Mile Ranch is located just 10 minutes north of 100 Mile House.
With a population estimated at 7,000, the ranch is hardly a ranch at all. In fact the name of the ranch was
taken from the days of the Gold Rush Trail.
When the Block brothers decided to buy the 108, the name stuck and a destination resort was born.
The idea was to build a resort that would attract families from Vancouver.
After about five years people started to stay in the 108 permanetly, and with the building of the saw mill in
100 Mile, the community took off.
Slowly the 108 Ranch is attracting not just those from Vancouver, but people from other countries and locations.
As well with the incredible life style the 108 Ranch has to offer, the 108 Ranch is not isolated from the rest of the world.
With a major north south highway running through, and an airport with weekly flights the community of 108 Ranch is
ahead in transportation compared to other small towns in the South Cariboo.
With the demands of access to the wild, the 108 has it all. You can hike along valleys, or walk around the public trails
surrounding the lakes. And on your way around the trail you could stop in at the Heritage site to learn some interesting facts
about the Ranch.
At the end of the day enjoy the easy life style and the clean air of the Cariboo.
